Human Trafficking

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act." Proverbs 3:27

Slavery is a part of our past that we would like to forget. But, what if you were to discover that slavery is not a thing of the past? What if you were to discover that slavery exists today in every part of the world, including in our own Phoenix neighborhoods? What if you knew that modern day slavery makes more than Amazon? God is calling us to become aware and to do something.

There is a CALL TO ACTION!
We must become INFORMED.
We must be REACTIVE to know the warning signs and whom to contact.
We must be PROACTIVE to stop human trafficking before it starts.

Here are a few ways you can stop Human Trafficking before it starts.

Become a mentor to a young person or someone in need. Traffickers often target people who are going through a difficult time or who lack strong support systems. As a mentor, you can be involved in new and positive experiences in that person’s life during a formative time.

Protect by prevention and information.

Be aware of traffickers’ tactics, and talk with your children, school administrators, youth leaders, and anyone working with children or teens. Lead informational workshops on Human Trafficking at your job or school. If you are a parent, suggest Redlight Rebellion to come to your child’s /children’s school for a student and teacher training.

Pilgrim Rest has joined the fight against Human Trafficking. If you are interested in helping and would like to find your lane, please check back here often for updates.
